The Merry Month Of July 2022!!
5th July
Today we visited Polzeath Beach with my walking group which has excellent surf for body boarding. Some of us walked along the path towards Daymer Bay (which is the Rock direction). We had a lovely lunch at the Oyster Catcher which has fantastic views of the sea and Polzeath Beach. We had free parking at the front at New Polzeath.
12th July
Today we went to Harlyn Bay which is near Padstow with my walking group. The beach is still very quiet for July and the sun was shining and it was very warm and pleasant. We had lunch at Trevisker Garden Centre which is just outside of Padstow.
13 July
This evening we went to Bude to watch my Grand Daughter in her School performance, Matilda. What a show it was! The children performed remarkably and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
15 July
Today I visited Polzeath Beach with my friend Fiona. There were still a few free parking spaces and we had a quiet couple of hours sat on the beach and had a swim to cool down. The sea was beautifully clear and a good surf.
17 July
Today we had a BBQ on the farm and afterwards the Grandchildren had a super time at the Giant Slip and Slide, near Port Isaac. The slide is located less than 5 minutes from the farm and it is fantastic family fun! The children and adults really had a great time! You can pre-book 1 hour slots online so no need to wait.
19th July
This morning it was rather wet however by lunchtime the sun had broken through. With my walking friends we parked for free near the Camel Trail and walked a short distanced into Padstow. We had lunch in the Prideaux Place Cafe which was delicious and tasty then we had a short walk down to the shops and back up to the car. 21 July
What an amazing day! Today I joined my friend Fiona and we visited Harlyn Bay (near Padstow) for some body boarding to cool down! We were in the sea for over an hour without a wetsuit. The sea was so delightful and warm, the beach was still very quiet with ample of room to park the car.
23 July
This evening my Grandchildren attended the Wadebridge Carnival. This was a wonderful community event with lots of fun and games for all the family. There were fairground rides, face painting and bouncy castles for the children, lots of food stalls and plenty of other activities. The procession was at 7pm followed by fireworks in the playing fields. The fireworks were outstanding and rounded off a lovely evening.
Today we also welcomed guests in nearly all of our cottages today who are involved with the Classical Music Festival at St Endellion Church. The festival lasts for the 2 weeks.
