Searching for Cowrie Shells!
Today was warm but slightly overcast. We decided to park the car at Daymer Bay (near Rock) and walk on the coastal path towards Polzeath Beach.
We stopped at Greenaway Beach. You can access this beach by the coastal path only. There are stairs that lead you directly down onto the beach. This beach is Stoney but fantastic for searching for cowrie shells, sea glass and other interesting shells. There are many rock pools also which are full of fishy finds!
Views towards Padstow.
Our haul for the day - 84 Cowrie Shells!!

Trevone Beach, Padstow!
Today we visited Trevone Bay. This is a much smaller beach than Polzeath and is situated around the corner from Padstow. The cove boasts beautiful soft white sand, perfect for children building sandcastles. The water is crystal clear. There is plenty of car parking. By the carpark there is a surf/beach shop. Here you can hire wetsuits, surf boards, paddle boards etc. There is also a take-away and eat in cafe and outdoor bar area. The beach is lifeguarded.
